I finally did it. I faced the daunting task of using a sewing machine for the first time in over 30 years — even if my sister did point out that my stitching looked like I’d had a few drinks along the way. 😄
I am proud of my results regardless.
It wasn’t a complicated project, but for someone as rusty as I was, it had its moments. A corner bookmark — simple in theory, character-building in practice.
I can’t say I’m ready to make my own clothes just yet — but I will absolutely face the sewing machine again in the future.
