I designed myself a TBR Raffle to work through my bookshelves. As I have over 300 books at this current point in time.

What you need

  • Somewhere to store 37 books
  • 2 containers to hold the raffle tickets
  • Cardstock to number the books, you could use post-its on the book if you prefer
  • Paper or Cardstock for the the raffle
  • Something to write with.

How I created my Raffle

I started with picking 30 books and placing them on a separate small book shelf in my case but you could use a dedicated shelf, or whatever is handy. I then numbered them 1 – 30 by placing a piece of card in front.

In a jar i place 30 pieces of paper numbered 1 -30 as well as 2 labelled Kindle read. I also have bonus draws with Buy a book, read 2 more books in a series (for a series I get addicted too), Choose any book outside of raffle, Skip and Redraw for the times you go urgh I don’t feel like this. Once you use the bonus draw they go back in at the end of the month.

I also made a mini monthly challenge that has 7 books all to a monthly theme. These are drawn from a separate jar.

The plan is to pull a book from the main raffle, read it and then pull a book from the mini raffle, read it and repeat.

At the end of the month I change over the mini raffle books, replace the main raffle books and put all the drawn pieces back in their jars.

My monthly mini raffle themes are:

Jan: Summer Vibes
Feb: Romance
Mar: Fresh Starts
Apr: Mystery
May: Fantasy
June: Cozy
Jul: Dark
Aug: Series
Sept: Hard Covers
Oct: Horror / Paranormal
Nov: Big Books
Dec: Christmas
