My Divergent review is from a reread perspective. Tris lives in a world where there are five factions: Abnegation (The Selfless), Amity (The Peaceful), Candor (The Honest), Dauntless (The Brave), Erudite (The Intelligent).
At 16, children get tested and can choose what faction they want to be in. They can stay in the faction of their parents or move to another, but they no longer have family contact.
The story starts with the Choosing ceremony, and you get to follow all the trials and tribulations that Tris must endure. Along the way, she makes friends, some closer than others, and then there is Four, who has secrets of his own.
The story flows fast enough to keep you entertained even on a reread. You turn the page to find out what happens next.
Veronica Roth is one of the authors on my favourite list, just from reading the Divergent series the first time.
